Cardinal Elementary’s Arctic Blast – Iditarod Edition! Our students at Cardinal Elementary worked SO hard on this year’s Arctic Blast, and we couldn’t be more proud! This year’s theme took us on a journey through the Iditarod, the legendary dog sled race across Alaska. Students completed challenges and activities to “race” from Anchorage to Nome, all while practicing their math facts at home! But the best part? Their hard work helped make a difference! Thanks to their dedication, we were able to donate $500 to the Siouxland Humane Society—and with an additional $500 from RotoRooter, we reached our $1,000 goal! 🐾 A HUGE thank you to RotoRooter for your generosity in helping our students give back to our community! To celebrate, we had a blast announcing our guessing jar and bookmark design winners, racing through math problem dog sled challenges, learning about the humane society (and petting the cutest puppies 🐶🥰), making Iditarod trail mix, and even capping it all off with a dance party! We had a great first day of our annual 'Arctic Blast'! This year, our theme is the Iditarod - the dog sled race through Alaska. Students are completing activities to get them from Anchorage to Nome! We're also practicing math facts at home to earn the opportunity to give back to the Siouxland Humane Society! Ask your child about it!
