Safe2Help Nebraska
South Sioux City Community Schools is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for all students. As part of that commitment, we encourage students, families, staff, and community members to speak up when they have concerns about student safety, well-being, or mental health.
What is Safe2Help Nebraska?
Safe2Help Nebraska is a confidential reporting system that allows individuals to report concerns and connect students with support before a situation becomes a crisis. The program is designed to help students who may be struggling and to promote a culture of care, safety, and support within our schools.
Reports can be submitted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and may include concerns such as:
Bullying or cyberbullying
Suicide concerns or self-harm
Depression or mental health concerns
Threats of violence
Abuse or neglect
Dating or domestic violence
Drugs or alcohol
Weapons
Fighting
Sexting
Theft
Any other situation that may affect the safety or well-being of a student
Reports are reviewed by trained professionals and shared with appropriate school personnel or emergency responders when necessary to ensure students receive support and assistance.

Why Reporting Matters
Research shows that students often notice warning signs before adults do. Safe2Help Nebraska provides a trusted way for students and community members to share concerns and help connect individuals with the resources and support they need.
By working together, we can help maintain safe schools and ensure every student feels supported, valued, and connected.
