RISE
Reaching Independence through Stuctured Environments (RISE)
The RISE program encompasses multiple classrooms designed with the idea of individual success in mind. Students with a variety of strengths and needs work with staff members to ensure progress in daily living, functional academic, self advocacy, social and behavioral skills. The highly trained team is focused on providing ongoing research based education, to students with varying ability levels, tied to their IEP goals.
Support may include, but is not limited to:
General education classroom
Recreation/Leisure
Bathroom and hygiene
Challenging behaviors
Social skills
Motor skills
Functional life skills
Communication
Visual schedules
Community access
Internships
In this realm of student services, the teachers must work with three different sets of standards: General Education Standards, Extended Standards, and Functional Academic Programming Standards. Students access the standards that meet their unique needs.
